A Look Back: Convention #1
The very first NIA convention was held in Park City, Utah back in 1981. This feature report includes pages that were originally published in the September 1981 IMPALA NEWS magazine. Dale and Yvonne Walker from Idaho Falls, ID, originally started the NIA in 1980 and hosted this well-attended event. There has been an NIA member event held every year since!
A Look Ahead with Randy Fierke
Randy Fierke of Willowbrook, IL, writes: "During one of the NIIC monthly business meetings, a fellow member asked me, "Say Randy, since you've attended every NIA Spearfish Convention from 1990 to 2007, why don't you write something about it for the upcoming 30th Anniversary?" Update on the Homefront
Thank you to everyone that has contacted us regarding my father, Duey. We are praising God that Dad is doing well after a really rough winter. Although, he is not back to full strength, he is much stronger and now able to move about on his own. He has even been able to ride along on some parts delivery trips this summer. It appears that the new and different chemo treatment has stalled the tumor growth. Another MRI has been scheduled and we are continuing to monitor the status of the tumor. We will let you know how he is doing in the coming few months. Please keep him in your prayers as he fights this battle.
