Greetings!
Jody and Steve returned from their trip to North Carolina last week, where they met many NIA members who stopped by the booth at the Charlotte AutoFair. What a great group of people! Thanks to all of you who stopped to say hello.
They also had a very productive week in Charlotte as they worked with the Carolina NIA members who have been hard at work planning our 29th International NIA Convention - read below for more details. I personally can't wait to get there!
This is Easter weekend, one of the high points of the year for the Anderson family. We look forward to celebrating the resurrection of our living Savior. We know not everyone celebrates this holiday, but if you've ever wondered why Easter is such a big deal to so many people, please call me or Jody - we'd be thrilled to tell you what it means to us.

"Showtime in Charlotte" 29th Int'l NIA Convention - July 26-30 in Charlotte, North Carolina
First things first - I'm sure you've been waiting to hear about Steve & Jody's search for the best BBQ in North Carolina. Well, their Yankee tastebuds chose Jim N' Nicks BBQ as their favorite, but they couldn't figure out why all those pickles kept showing up on their plates!
They also sampled fried okra, collard greens, grits, biscuits & gravy, red slaw, and an interesting dish called livermush, a regional favorite. While Jody thought it was delicious, event team member Betty Jean Taylor said it will NOT be part of the banquet menu, so Jody will probably be rounding up a crew to go for a livermush breakfast at least one morning while we're there - any volunteers?!
More Convention News:
Bench Racing Seminars: 'Tiger' Tom Pistone, NASCAR legend; Larry Holland, drag racer, promoter, and former editor of 4 different regional US Drag racing publications; Richard Broome, drag racer and Circle Track crew chief with Rick Hendrick Motorsports for several years: Leonard 'Bird Legs' Schoffner, drag racer and engine mechanic who spent years with Sox & Martin; and Larry Wilson local legendary drag racer and the original "Good Ole Mr. Wilson".
We're excited to announce that Jody Schmeisser will again be coordinating the Drag Race Day at Rockingham - he did an absolutely stellar job last year at NIA's first-ever Day at the Drags for the Indianapolis convention, and we're thrilled to have him back. Many of you will recognize Jody's name as a racer, but did you know that he is one of the inventors of PitPal Products made right here in the United States? Check out this great video to learn more about Jody and PitPal, and then sign up for Race Day and hit the track to win great prizes - including PitPal Products to get your trailer organized!
