Greetings!
Hard to believe it is the end of February already. Last week I said "spring is just around the corner" but as I write this, 8 inches of snow has just fallen here in Minnesota, and there were sub-zero temps on the thermometer this morning. Oh well, I know winter can't last forever...even if it feels like it does some days.
Summer IS coming - and that means convention time!
I'm thrilled to announce that Ron Mroz of Illinois has graciously agreed to be the NIA Judging Captain again this year for the Concours Judging in Charlotte, NC. Ron and his team of skilled judges did an outstanding job at the 28th NIA Convention in Indianapolis. They spent many, many long hours fine-tuning the new-to-NIA 1000 point judging criteria, and it was very well-received. We're so pleased to know that the Concours Judging remains in such capable hands.
Would you consider bringing your car to the 29th NIA Convention for judging? So many of last year's convention attendees said they were glad to have feedback from such expert judges, and that they'd definitely do it again. I'm even hoping to bring my '64 Chevy. We'll have lots of gear to haul to North Carolina, but I'm sure that "Edna", my 9-passenger wagon, can handle it... I just hope she's road-ready by then!

NIA 30th Anniversary Spearfish Reunion Rally  Corrected Dates: August 24-26, 2010
The first-ever NIA Reunion Rally will be held in Spearfish, SD from August 24-26, 2010, in conjunction with Kool Deadwood Nites which is being held later than usual next year -
hence the date change from my last newsletter.
We're still in the planning stages, but wanted to let you know now so you can save the date- we'll keep you posted - it'll be a great, relaxing time! |
