Have been working feverishly to get the Biscayne up to par, but am stumped by a tail light issue. My 1960 Biscayne is blessed with a total of four tail lamps (2 on each side). As such, the passenger blinker (outside light) dims very seriously when the turn signal or brakes are used. When cruising, all four lamps are lit equally, it's only when the brakes are applied or the turn signal is used that the lamp dims. The outer lamps (blinkers) use an 1157, the inner two (brake, running) use a single filament 1156. The sockets appear to be in decent shape, but I just purchased (4) new tail/brake pig tails that each have two conductors. I was planning on using these with (4) new LED lamps I purchased. Anyone have any idea what the dimming issue might be and/or if I will face any serious issues when installing the new pig tails/LED'S?
Thanks in advance.
